The Kings Speech

I just watched the Grammy award winning movie The Kings Speech. Hereby refered to as TKS. While True Grit was an amazing movie I think TKS deserved the award.
TKS is about the Duke of York(the second son of King George V) on the brink of WWII. The Duke has an awful stutter and when you are a prince you have to do a lot of public speaking. He befriends a speech therapist and learns to speak better. But when his father dies and his elder brother takes over things turn bad. His brother stops doing his job and says he wants to abdicate so that he can marry his love.
It's really interesting because his daughter Elizabeth is the current Queen, the grandmother of the just married Duke.
I highly suggest you all go out and watch this movie. Also True Grit.

Random Music Stuff!

Hey! So I'm going to talk about some random music such as Friday by Rebbecca Black. That song sucks so much! The lyrics are awful and even if you view it as a comedy it is bad. She doesn't sound good and who wants to here about this girl trying to decide where to sit in her friends car. Also she is 13 so she is either hanging out with kids several years older than her or they are driving illegally. Plus in the middle of the music video a random rapper randomly appears for about 1 minute. The lyrics suck the music video is stupid and the tune is extremely similar to Baby by Justin Beiber and her next song Prom Night. Which I would like to point out is stupid because 13gear olds don't go to prom!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I will talk about this awesome new band my friend told me about. It's called All Caps. They have two albums and 12 songs in each. They are really funny have good lyrics and good tunes. Some of the songs include You Kissed Me at the Dundies, Lumos Flies, and I'm a Voldemort Fangirl. Of course their songs are not all based on books and tv shows. They have a zombie song, one about World of Warcraft, a few about computers. I'd go and get some All Caps.
Sorry I've been bad at writing a lot lately.

The Comics

So, I read the comics everyday on my computer. Today and yesterday the comic Stone Soup (by Jan Elliot) has had someone throwing up. The word she uses to show that someone is throwing up is BARRACK. While that may not have been her intention it sounds an awful lot like Barack. The first name of the president of the United States. I don't know but it just seems... Anyway, I mostly like the comic so...

Stuff You Missed in History Class

Stuff You Missed in History Class
HowStuffWorks.com

Stuff You Missed is a fun, entertaining and informative podcast. Sarah Dowdey and Deblina Chakraborty research and explain the topics your textbooks missed. This podcast is like a history class. Whether it’s because you barely touched the surface, or never new it existed there’s always more to know. While most of the information is useless it is a fun way to expand your knowledge. Especially with Sarah and Deblina’s fun-facts. The information is given like a history lecture, though the topics are like nothing you’d read about in history class. Some of their titles include Don’t Cross the Dragon Lady, How the Tulip Mania Worked, and The St. Valentines Day Massacre. This bi-weekly podcast is a fun way to learn history without the notes.

Shirt.Woot

Hey all you! I'm back with my next blog! Today I'll be talking about a website called Shirt.woot. This website sells t-shirts, some pretty cool ones too, like this one.

Cloak_of_Visibilityb8kDetail.png
Every day they put another t-shirt up for sale. They are 10 dollars each. Now you can buy a certain number after their release date, but only if they're good. This is called the Reckoning. They also have contest that you can enter, and vote in, for the shirts they sell.
Now, Shirt.woot sounds cool and all, and it is, but the shipping is awful. If you want it by a certain date in a month, you have to pay the overnight shipping fee or you won't get it for ever. We ordered shirts as Christmas presents and didn't get them for ever. I mean from the 13th to the 8th of the next month is too long. Though we did get them, but still, not in time for the Holidays. And they did have a sign on their sight that you had to click on to get real info, that's to long to ship a t-sirt, 16 days, really? I like the site and all, but I wouldn't suggest it to buy off of if you have a due date, but it's fun to look at! Click on the link to go to the site.
